Talencentrum Holland was founded by Lonieke Ultee. Her aim is to make high-quality language services accessible to everyone at affordable prices. Prior to starting Talencentrum Holland, Lonieke worked as a language manager and teacher at one of the large university-owned language centres in Amsterdam.

Lonieke lived in a number of different countries for several years, studying, among other things, French in Paris and Spanish in Madrid. She also worked in the tourism industry, living on the Canary Islands, in Switzerland and in Greece. Owing to this, Lonieke has firsthand experience with the challenges of finding your way in a new language and culture – and the importance of comforting, coaching and hospitable guidance in this process.

Lonieke is a certified language teacher. She studied Dutch at the Educatieve Hogeschool van Amsterdam, specializing in teaching Dutch as a second language and she did a postgraduate program for Dutch language teachers at the KU Leuven. In addition to working in the educational and language industries, she also held various multi-lingual positions in tourism. She now combines her experience in these different fields to manage a service-oriented, results-driven language centre. At Talencentrum Holland, we think it is essential that our students feel welcome with us and know that they are in good and caring hands. Talencentrum Holland is based in Amsterdam Zuid. Here, we have established a leading position in providing tailor-made language training programmes to expats and their families, including children as young as three! We provide our training programmes outside the capital also, catering to the language needs of customers throughout the Netherlands.
